Finally In Cali!!!

WEEK 5


Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing well. I've been recovering for the past week and a half from my appendix fiasco. My recovery consisted of errands with my mom, personal study, drawing, and a whole lot of Disney movies. Luckily I recovered pretty quickly because I was running out of Disney movies to watch. 


On Friday I got on a plane and got California. My trainer is awesome! He is so patient with me learning all of this new stuff and is so encouraging. My first few days were action packed. On my first day Vickie was put on date to be baptized. Vickie has been being taught by the missionaries off and on for over 20 years, and my first day is when she decided to be baptized haha. I have met a few Bible bashers, atheists, Buddhists, and have had a number of doors slammed in our face. I didn't expect to meet people like that on my first few days. But I'm in the Laguna Niguel area and it is so beautiful. My favorite time of day is golden hour because everything is just glowing and all the plants are so vibrant.


A miracle that happened these past few days was on Friday. Elder Rollins and I were deciding where to tract and he told me that I could pick any street in the whole area. I picked this one street that called Blue Jay drive and he said that the exact street that he was thinking too. It was definitely inspired because we found some people that were interested.

Hey everyone! This week went by quick. Some cool things happened this week where 80 marines showed up to church yesterday and it was such a cool experience to be able to teach so many of them. We also put our friend Francisco, whose a marine, on date for baptism for December 9th. Our friend Isaiah is still solid and is getting baptized this Saturday. He shared with me that sometimes he doesn't want to come to church but he goes anyways, and he feels this peace that he has never felt before and he said that he knows that this church is true.  We usually do our calls and text on the San Clemente Pier, because it right by our apartment, and there are a lot of people fishing off the pier. So one night we were at the pier doing some phone calls and all of a sudden there's this teenaged kid running up and down the pier being drug by his pole. Oh Glory

Hey everyone! Hope your week was good! This week was crazy for me. We took our recent convert Rick to the hospital because he has an infection in his arm and it blew up like a balloon. His arm looked like the Pillsbury dough boy. Also, we found some really cool people who have been able to find out the Book of Mormon is true by themselves! Also yesterday an old friend that hasn't met with the missionaries in a little bit, met with us yesterday and said that she wants to get baptized! Her name is Sherry and her date is October 21st. Overall good week. This week I went on an exchange into a bike area. It is actually pretty fun being on bikes because it's good to get your blood pumping. I also learned how to ride with no hands during the exchange. But we were riding along the street and I stopped to talk to these people and I stepped off my bike pedal to stable myself. Out Of Place

Hey everyone! Hope your week was great. This week was a blur for me. Halloween came and went pretty fast and now it has already almost been a week. This week we had a halloween party for the YSA ward, we had MLC the day after, and went on an exchange with some Elders that are on bikes but the members gave them Ebikes, so overall pretty good week. Like I said, we had a Halloween party with the YSA ward. We weren't going to dress up, but the Sisters also serving in the ward said that everyone was dressing up and you need to dress up or else you will be lame. So we went to every halloween store near us during our dinner hour frantically searching for a costume to buy. We went to TJ Maxx and found some onesies. I got a Grinch one and my compainion got a minion. We bought them and went over to the church.
