Mighty Ducks

Hey everyone! Hopefully everyone's week went well! I had a great week because it was zone conference and I got to see all the elders in my old zone. We had Elder Ringwood of the quorum of thr seventy come and talk to us. It was so awesome, you could feel the spirit so strong while he was in the room. 


It was a pretty average and solid week. We went to visit our friends in this gated apartment complex and we usually have to wait for a car to come in the gae for us to get in. So we waited at the gate for like 5 minutes and no cars were coming. We then started heading back to where we parked. We got in our car and and as soon as I shut the door a car started driving towards the gate. I look at my companion and busted out of the car like secretariat at the Kentucky derby. My companion droped his Book of Mormon so it was up to me to get inside the gate. I was hauling, I had the help of angels propelling my feet. The gate was about to close and I squoze through at the very last minute. I swear I heard the Indian Jones theme song while I was running. I let my companion in and we then continued to be yelled at by a very disgruntled resident.


We also had an activity with the YSA ward and we went ice skating where the Anahiem Ducks practice. I think I could take Apollo Ono in a race.


The spiritual thought for the week is about gratitude. It has been scientifically proven that when you write down something that you are grateful for, your brain releases endorphins, and makes you happier. 
D&C 98:1
"1 Verily I say unto you my friends, fear not, let your hearts be comforted; yea, rejoice evermore, and in everything give thanks;"
We can be comforted as we see what the Lord as given to us and we express gratitude. I invite you all to not only think about the things you are grateful for but write them down. I promise that as you do so, you will be able to see God's hand in your life more than you would think.

Hey everyone! This week went by quick. Some cool things happened this week where 80 marines showed up to church yesterday and it was such a cool experience to be able to teach so many of them. We also put our friend Francisco, whose a marine, on date for baptism for December 9th. Our friend Isaiah is still solid and is getting baptized this Saturday. He shared with me that sometimes he doesn't want to come to church but he goes anyways, and he feels this peace that he has never felt before and he said that he knows that this church is true.  We usually do our calls and text on the San Clemente Pier, because it right by our apartment, and there are a lot of people fishing off the pier. So one night we were at the pier doing some phone calls and all of a sudden there's this teenaged kid running up and down the pier being drug by his pole. Oh Glory

Hey everyone! Hope your week was good! This week was crazy for me. We took our recent convert Rick to the hospital because he has an infection in his arm and it blew up like a balloon. His arm looked like the Pillsbury dough boy. Also, we found some really cool people who have been able to find out the Book of Mormon is true by themselves! Also yesterday an old friend that hasn't met with the missionaries in a little bit, met with us yesterday and said that she wants to get baptized! Her name is Sherry and her date is October 21st. Overall good week. This week I went on an exchange into a bike area. It is actually pretty fun being on bikes because it's good to get your blood pumping. I also learned how to ride with no hands during the exchange. But we were riding along the street and I stopped to talk to these people and I stepped off my bike pedal to stable myself. Out Of Place

Hey everyone! Hope your week was great. This week was a blur for me. Halloween came and went pretty fast and now it has already almost been a week. This week we had a halloween party for the YSA ward, we had MLC the day after, and went on an exchange with some Elders that are on bikes but the members gave them Ebikes, so overall pretty good week. Like I said, we had a Halloween party with the YSA ward. We weren't going to dress up, but the Sisters also serving in the ward said that everyone was dressing up and you need to dress up or else you will be lame. So we went to every halloween store near us during our dinner hour frantically searching for a costume to buy. We went to TJ Maxx and found some onesies. I got a Grinch one and my compainion got a minion. We bought them and went over to the church.
