Real Housewives Of OC?
Hey everyone!!!! This past week flew by for some reason! On Monday we got to go to a members street Halloween party and have some tacos. Apparently Jennifer Pedranti lives at the house that the taco truck was at. For those of you who don't know who Jennifer Pedranti is, apparently she is a big deal and is on Real Housewives of OC. So that was kind of crazy haha.
Finding on campus has been so fun!!! We kind of get to let loose and act our age again when we are talking to these students. This past week we did a gratitude board, so we would go up to a bunch of people and have them write what they were grateful for. It was so awesome to be able to see all of these different things that they would write down, and it was fun to talk about the those things with them.
We also had back to back exchanges which I think is the reason everything felt so fast. On Saturday morning we got to play soccer in the morning at this nice field with a bunch of guys from the ward and their friends which was super fun. But on Saturday afternoon we got a call from the sisters saying that these people need help taking this chair into their house and it will take max 5 minutes. So we get there and it's an apartment complex with no elevators. Her apartment is on the top floor. I had to channel my inner Ross Geller and just "PIVAT!" all the way up the staircase. We got it up he stairs and into the apartment. We were about to leave and the lady started giving us orders for us to "clean out" her garage. Me and Elder Larson then spent two hours taking everything out of the garage and putting it back in. The garage literally looked the exact same as when we got there hahaha.
The spiritual thought this week is about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. In Alma 7:11-13 it says:
11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.
Jesus Christ not only suffered for our sins, but he went through every individual pain, sorrow, sickness, and affliction that we have and will go through. He knows exactly what we are going through and knows how to help you get throught it. He wants us to turn to Him! Hope you all have a great week!
