Not So Silent Night

Hey eveyone hope y'all had a great week! It was weird time warp week that felt slow while I was in it but looking back it went pretty fast.

This week we had our zone conference which was so awesome. We had a super spiritual meeting and then President Carter surprised us with a two hour Christmas party at lunch! We had games and crafts and desserts. It was so fun, and President Carter even whipped out "All I want for Christmas is you" by Mariah Carrey and all the missionaries went crazy haha. Overall good zone conference

On Wednesday we had Elder Anderson, one of our zone leaders, come with us to stop by some people and knock some doors. So during our little adventure he finds out that I can do a pretty mean Gru impression. Towards the end of the night we knock on this door and this lady answers and Elder Anderson says "Hey we are just going around singing carols to people, would you like to hear one?" Me and Elder Larson just look at him and we were like "What?!?!" She then said sure and Elder Anderson has the audacity to say "Would you like to hear a Carol from Gru?" And she said "Um sure?" So I'm just thinking to myself "Welp....ah what the heck!" So I sang a solo of silent night in my gru voice. One of my finest moments I think haha.

The spiritual thought for this week is from another study of one of Christ's names. The one that I studied this week was "Shiloh". Shiloh means "He to whom it belongs" and this ties back to Christ because Joseph (Jesus' father) was of lineage and heir to throne of David. If the Romans weren't in power Jesus would have literally been king. But instead he was born out doors on a cold night in Bethlehem and the Savior of all mankind spent his first night in a manger. He deserved a lot more than what he was given but He still lived a perfect life despite His imperfect circumstances. I know that through Him we can recieve the strength get through these imperfect circumstances in our life. I know that Jesus Christ Lives!!!

Have a Merry Christmas!!!
