The Rabid Dog

Hello everyone! This week has been great. It was transfers and me and Elder Larson got to stay together in the area. So we have been chilling and it was a pretty normal week. We went on some exchanges as usual, and they were pretty fun. But every year my Grandma Cindy sends out a Christmas scavenger hunt for us to find stuff in people's yards. This year was snowmen, and that has given some flavor to knocking doors haha.

While I was on an exchange with Elder Call, we ran into a lady who was walking her dog. The dog was smaller and you could tell by the twitching that something was off with this dog. It looked up at us and it was foaming at the mouth. It immediately got up on its hind legs and started barking at us and Elder Call nervously said "wow your dog is so cute". The lady then said "yeah he hasn't been feeling good lately (as the dog is trying to bite its own ear) and I thought to myself "ya think!?!". The dog repeatedly tried to lunge at us like we were its next victim, but luckliy he was on a leash. But we were able to have a really good conversation with the lady about the Book of Mormon and Jesus Christ. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she gave us her number saying that she wants to learn more so it was worth the chance of us getting rabies. I guess rabid dogs is the craziest wildlife you will see in good old Orange county haha.

The spiritual thought this week is about the many names and titles of Jesus Christ. This week I have been studying different names of Jesus Christ. The one that I have really grown to love is "Hosanna" which means "please save us". When Jesus entered into Jerusalem right before He performed the greatest act of Love ever shown, the people waved palm trees and cried "Hosanna" as He rode in. The people knew who He was and what He was about to do for them. They were pleading for Him to save them and He did save them as well as everyone who has ever and will ever live. But the thing is even if it was just you crying Hosanna, He would go through everything that He went through just for you. He loves and knows each us personally and infinitely.

Have a great week!!!
