Caught Red Handed

Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a spectacular week! The first half of this week was rainy but the last half was really nice. It was good to see Mr. Bluesky again. This week our friend Ben accepted baptismal date. He was on date a few weeks ago but he fell off because he felt it was too fast. This week he came to us and said that he feels really good about being baptized now and he is getting baptized on May 6th!!


So this week we I was on an exchange with another Elder in my district and we were talking to this girl who was acting super interested in what we had to share. We were hitting her with beams of restored truth and the spirit was there and everything. So we asked if we could have her number so we could contact her to find a good time to meet. So she gives her the number and I say "I'll just give you a call so you have our number" and as I'm pressing the button she goes "Oh you really don't have to...." and then all of a sudden the robot voice-mail lady says "I'm sorry this number that you have tried to reach is not valid" and after that happened I looked at her and then Elder Trimble, who is trying not to laugh, and then back at her. There was just silence for about 15-20 seconds and I then said "Welp uh..." And she slowly started backing up and then I went on to say "have a good day." Me and Elder Trimble couldn't stop laughing for like a half hour after that.


This weeks spiritual thought is about lonliness. There are some points in your life where you want to cry our to God like Jesus did on the cross when He said in Matthew 26:46 "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Sometimes we feel like God has abondon us and we feel like there is no hope. But in John 14:18 Jesus makes a promise with us, He says "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." If anyone has felt the agony of loneliness, it's Jesus Christ. He suffered the worst of the worst alone so that we don't have to be lonely. As we turn to Him and seek to feel His presence more in our life, even life's most challenging burdens will be lightened and you will be able to bear them with Jesus by your side. I know that Jesus Christ is alive and He is more involved in our lives than we think.

Hey everyone! This week went by quick. Some cool things happened this week where 80 marines showed up to church yesterday and it was such a cool experience to be able to teach so many of them. We also put our friend Francisco, whose a marine, on date for baptism for December 9th. Our friend Isaiah is still solid and is getting baptized this Saturday. He shared with me that sometimes he doesn't want to come to church but he goes anyways, and he feels this peace that he has never felt before and he said that he knows that this church is true.  We usually do our calls and text on the San Clemente Pier, because it right by our apartment, and there are a lot of people fishing off the pier. So one night we were at the pier doing some phone calls and all of a sudden there's this teenaged kid running up and down the pier being drug by his pole. Oh Glory

Hey everyone! Hope your week was good! This week was crazy for me. We took our recent convert Rick to the hospital because he has an infection in his arm and it blew up like a balloon. His arm looked like the Pillsbury dough boy. Also, we found some really cool people who have been able to find out the Book of Mormon is true by themselves! Also yesterday an old friend that hasn't met with the missionaries in a little bit, met with us yesterday and said that she wants to get baptized! Her name is Sherry and her date is October 21st. Overall good week. This week I went on an exchange into a bike area. It is actually pretty fun being on bikes because it's good to get your blood pumping. I also learned how to ride with no hands during the exchange. But we were riding along the street and I stopped to talk to these people and I stepped off my bike pedal to stable myself. Out Of Place

Hey everyone! Hope your week was great. This week was a blur for me. Halloween came and went pretty fast and now it has already almost been a week. This week we had a halloween party for the YSA ward, we had MLC the day after, and went on an exchange with some Elders that are on bikes but the members gave them Ebikes, so overall pretty good week. Like I said, we had a Halloween party with the YSA ward. We weren't going to dress up, but the Sisters also serving in the ward said that everyone was dressing up and you need to dress up or else you will be lame. So we went to every halloween store near us during our dinner hour frantically searching for a costume to buy. We went to TJ Maxx and found some onesies. I got a Grinch one and my compainion got a minion. We bought them and went over to the church.
