8 Months!

Hey everyone! This week went by super quick, I can't belive that it's already Monday again. Well I hit my 8 month mark this past week and it felt pretty weird. I can't believe that I'm a third of the way through this crazy adventure that I'm on. I am so grateful for this opportunity I have had to come closer to Jesus Christ by being able to serve Him.

This week we were at an apartment complex knocking doors and talking to everyone outside. We started talking to this lady who was walking her dog and she told us "My dog is about to throw up so right now isn't a good time." So we kept talking to her and sure enough the dog hacks up a full plant that it had swallowed. It threw up a lot and then looked up with vomit dripping from its mouth and his eyes locked on my companions hand. As soon as it looked up from coughing up a lung it was on a mission to lick my companions hand. He books it over to him with vomit still dripping from its mouth and licks his hand. My companion looked down at his hand in horror and just froze. He couldn't believe what he had just experienced. The owner then saw her chance to leave the conversation and took it. I was laughing pretty hard by that point, but my comp, without saying a word, started frantically speed walking, with His hand in the air making sure not to touch anything, looking for a bathroom. It gave me a good laugh watching him charge around this complex not being able to find somewhere to wash off.

This weeks spiritual is from the Book of Moroni 7:46 it says "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail" In Moroni 7 it talks about charity and how we need it. Charity is the pure love of Christ. Jesus is charity and this verse is talking about how we need Jesus in order to live, so I changed this verse just a little bit. I switched out the word charity with Jesus and both of them have the same meaning but this version helps remind me of how dependent on and grateful I am for my Savior Jesus Christ. It says "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not Jesus, ye are nothing, for Jesus never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto Jesus, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail" Jesus has never and will never fail, so cleave to Him who is mighty to save! I know He lives!
Hope you have a great week!
