Flying Squirrels Literally

Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a great week! This week for me has gone by extremely fast. This week we got to sword fight with some guys in the park for our companionship study, and go on an exchange with one if the mandarin Elders and see plenty of miracles. Overall good week.


On Thursday we had a lesson with our friend Ibrahim. He is 14 so we had one of our youth come with us to the lesson. We read some of the Book of Mormon with him and taught him why it is so important. At the end, we were in the middle of testifying of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, when out of nowhere I hear a faint high pitched scream and then a squirrel comes flying out of a tree and pelts our youth in the chest. It was the most bizarre thing I have ever experienced. Our youth got knocked on his back and the wind knocked out of him. He then got up and wiped the the squirrel shape out lined in fur, off of his shirt. He was ok and we all started laughing. And for all you animal lovers out there the squirrel was just fine. 


This weeks spiritual thought is about Eternal families. I have thought a lot about how through the atonement of Jesus Christ we are given the opportunity to be with the one's that we love forever. Jesus Christ gave that authority to his disciples in Matthew 16:19 "19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" . It is amazing to know that God has restored that authority to seal families together for the rest of eternity through the blood of Jesus Christ. That is just one more of the infinite amount of reasons I love Jesus Christ with all my heart. He gave me not only my life back but he gave me the reason for my life back, which is my loved ones. I know that He lives and loves each and everyone of us infinitely and perfectly. Have a great week!

Hey everyone! This week went by quick. Some cool things happened this week where 80 marines showed up to church yesterday and it was such a cool experience to be able to teach so many of them. We also put our friend Francisco, whose a marine, on date for baptism for December 9th. Our friend Isaiah is still solid and is getting baptized this Saturday. He shared with me that sometimes he doesn't want to come to church but he goes anyways, and he feels this peace that he has never felt before and he said that he knows that this church is true.  We usually do our calls and text on the San Clemente Pier, because it right by our apartment, and there are a lot of people fishing off the pier. So one night we were at the pier doing some phone calls and all of a sudden there's this teenaged kid running up and down the pier being drug by his pole. Oh Glory

Hey everyone! Hope your week was good! This week was crazy for me. We took our recent convert Rick to the hospital because he has an infection in his arm and it blew up like a balloon. His arm looked like the Pillsbury dough boy. Also, we found some really cool people who have been able to find out the Book of Mormon is true by themselves! Also yesterday an old friend that hasn't met with the missionaries in a little bit, met with us yesterday and said that she wants to get baptized! Her name is Sherry and her date is October 21st. Overall good week. This week I went on an exchange into a bike area. It is actually pretty fun being on bikes because it's good to get your blood pumping. I also learned how to ride with no hands during the exchange. But we were riding along the street and I stopped to talk to these people and I stepped off my bike pedal to stable myself. Out Of Place

Hey everyone! Hope your week was great. This week was a blur for me. Halloween came and went pretty fast and now it has already almost been a week. This week we had a halloween party for the YSA ward, we had MLC the day after, and went on an exchange with some Elders that are on bikes but the members gave them Ebikes, so overall pretty good week. Like I said, we had a Halloween party with the YSA ward. We weren't going to dress up, but the Sisters also serving in the ward said that everyone was dressing up and you need to dress up or else you will be lame. So we went to every halloween store near us during our dinner hour frantically searching for a costume to buy. We went to TJ Maxx and found some onesies. I got a Grinch one and my compainion got a minion. We bought them and went over to the church.
