Head Over Heels

Hey everyone! This week went by really fast and I can't believe it's already monday again. This week was pretty good, we did a lot of finding on the beach and found some cool people, and had some really powerful lessons with some of our friends that are about to be put on date. There were also a ton of marines that showed up to church yesterday too which was super cool.

Every tuesday we get together with some of the members of the stake and they bring their non member friends and we play basketball. This week I forgot to bring my basket ball shoes. I tore it up on the court in my dress shoe's and I got some blisters on the balls of my feet. The next day we went finding on campus for 6 hours. My feet were killing me and I was walking around on my heels the whole time. I looked like a mom who was speed walking out of the nail salon after getting a pedicure, and had just realized that her kid had early out that day. I would have killed for some Heely's to roll around campus on. But my feet are A-OK now.

This weeks spiritual thought comes from Philipians 4:11 in the new testament. It says "11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." This is Paul speaking in his letter to the Philipians. Paul went through alot. He was beaten, mocked, cast out, put into prison multiple times and all that good stuff. If anyone had the right to wish he had something better it was Paul. I'm not saying it is wrong to have goals and progress, because the whole reason we are on Earth is to progress, but I am saying that like Paul we should be content with today and live in it. We shouldn't wish our lives away, we can find joy, peace, comfort, and progress through the Savior Jesus Christ. As we strive to be content with today and make today count, then the Lord will work miracles in our lives. I know He lives! Have a great week!
