Hey everyone! I hope everyone had a good week!. This week went by pretty fast. We had a baptism in this new ward that I'm in and it was amazing. The spirit was super strong, and I am so happy I was able to be apart of it. We also had zone conference, so I was able to see some old missionary friends, so that was fun. We went on some exchanges and before I knew it, it was monday.

On saturday I was on an exchange and we were stopping by one of our friends. We then saw this guy watering his lawn so we went over and started talking to him. He was a pretty nice guy and we a good conversation about his lawn and then the conversation flipped on its head and he started this huge rant about politics. I'm not even sure how it happened but it just did. He started to get animated with his hands and started waving them around, all while the hose was still in his hand. The hose was on a mister so it wasn't too bad, but he kept spraying us with the hose as he was talking. when ever I wanted to make a comment I would wipe the water off my eyes and chime in.The people we talked to after probably thought we were really sweaty.

This weeks spiritual thought comes from the Book of Mormon in Alma 36:21 it says "21 Yea, I say unto you, my son, that there could be nothing so exquisite and so bitter as were my pains. Yea, and again I say unto you, my son, that on the other hand, there can be nothing so exquisite and sweet as was my joy." This scripture is about Alma and how he felt really bad about the things that he had done in the past and how he was able to come to Jesus Christ and feel more joy than sorrow. The reason we came to Earth is to gain experience and have opposition in all things and choose to look to God and live. Sometimes we feel like these pains that we feel are too exquisite and bitter to bare, but we can know that that suffering expands our souls so that Christ can fill us with even more joy. Christ is the source of all joy and I know He lives! Think Celestial! Have a great week!
