Photoshoot
Hey everyone! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend! We were able to go to a members house for Thanksgiving. This week went by pretty fast. Honestly all the weeks are going by fast at this point haha. Our friend Isaiah was going to get baptized this past Saturday but we had to push it back so please pray for Isaiah.
This week we went on an exchange and I took a new missionary into our area. We went and made some calls on the San Clemente Pier, and we were having a great time. Then this guy who hardly speaks any English walks up to me and gives me his phone. All he said was "photoshoot". So he walked about 30 feet away from me and I took pictures of him striking poses as he walked down the Pier. It wasn't until he got a little closer to me that I noticed that he had peed his pants. Me and the Elder I was with then looked at each other and started dying. He then had me do the same thing but have the phone vertical. So I'm trying to hold in my laughter as he is strutting down the pier with wet pants. After he left the Elder I was with turned to me and asked "Does that happen a lot?" I then replied, still laughing "No, no it doesn't".
This weeks spiritual thought comes from the Book of Mormon in Mosiah 2:17 and it says "17 And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." I love this verse and I'm sure you all have heard it a million times. But I was thinking about this verse lately and it occurred to me that when the Savior was in Gethsame, He took upon himself the punishment of our sins, pains, sicknesses, and sorrows. When we ease each other's burdens we are directly helping the Savior in the Garden of Gethsemane. That is why He says in Matthew 25:35-36 "35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me." Jesus is our Savior and He is my Master. I know He lives! Have a great week!
