TMI

Hey everyone! Hope all is well. This past week has been a big time warp, because we had transfers and I got a new companion. His name is Elder Barfuss and he's awesome. We also had our temple day on Wednesday so we had to have our P day on Wednesday instead of Monday. Our friend Isaiah, who is on date for baptism is still solid, and our other friends in our teaching pool are pretty solid as well. We are still going on campus every day to try and find some more people who are ready to recieve this amazing message that Christ's church is on the earth today. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be on the Lord's errand 24/7.

This experience happened the other week and I thought I would share it because this week was pretty boring with preparing for, and having transfers, but this experience happened at church on base. I was waiting by the door of the chapel because a lot of non member marines come wandering in during the service. So towards the end of the service a marine comes in and I start talking about what makes our church different from other church's, and naturally most of the marines have one tone of voice, and that's loud. So I'm trying to whisper to not distract from the talk that's going on but this marine is making sure that I not only hear the words he is saying but also feel them in my bones. People were pretty chill because it happens all the time, but it came time to say the prayer and we were still in our conversation. But for some reason, as soon as everyone bowed their head, he felt the need to share in the loudest voice possible that he "needs to take a dump". After he said that, you could hear a pin drop. I'm pretty sure I heard an actual cricket during that moment of silence. People then looked up from the prayer and back at me and him, and I wanted to just crawl inside my shirt pocket. I then pointed him towards the bathroom and kept chuckling to myself the rest of the day everytime I thought about it.

This weeks spiritual thought comes from M. Russell Ballard's most recent talk. I'm sad to see him go but thank goodness for the knowledge that we have about the plan of salvation. He said in his talk "I think it’s one of the most glorious and wonderful things that anybody in this world can know—that our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ have revealed Themselves in this latter day and that Joseph has been raised up to restore the fulness of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ" I know for myself what he said is true! I know our loving Savior Jesus Christ and our loving Heavenly Father live, and Jesus Christ's church was restored through the prophet Jospeph Smith. I hope you all have a great week!
