Death Wish

Hey everyone! Hope this past week went well for all of you! My week was pretty good. We have been going to a lot of parking lots and talking to people. We've been seeing a lot of cool miracles and have put 4 people on date in the first contact. God is good!


This week we went on an exchange and I went into another Elders area. He was driving. Before we got in the car he gave me a full disclosure that he hasn't driven in a while and it could be a little rough. And rough it was. I have never gripped the little handle above the door so tight in my life. I think I left finger indents on it. He was talking to me nonchalantly as he was meandering into different lanes and waiting to break until the very last minute. One time he didn't break in time and stopped in the middle of the intersection. I would compare it to Dumb and Dumber where Lloyd Christmas is driving Mary Swanson to the airport, and him running a red light and not paying attention. I feel for Mary. After that exchange I kissed the ground and hugged my companion because I was so happy I made it alive.


This weeks spiritual thought is from Acts 17:28 it says "28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring." This scripture teaches a very simply but divine truth. That is that we are all literal sons and daughters of God. If we truly believe that, then our perspective will be changed and doubts and fears will shrink. Christ saw us as powerful children of God, that's why He came down and saved us. He continues to see potential in us and if we let Him, then He will help us reach that potential. I love Him and I know He lives. Have a great week!

We're Gonna Need A Bigger Pole

Hey everyone! This week went by quick. Some cool things happened this week where 80 marines showed up to church yesterday and it was such a cool experience to be able to teach so many of them. We also put our friend Francisco, whose a marine, on date for baptism for December 9th. Our friend Isaiah is still solid and is getting baptized this Saturday. He shared with me that sometimes he doesn't want to come to church but he goes anyways, and he feels this peace that he has never felt before and he said that he knows that this church is true.  We usually do our calls and text on the San Clemente Pier, because it right by our apartment, and there are a lot of people fishing off the pier. So one night we were at the pier doing some phone calls and all of a sudden there's this teenaged kid running up and down the pier being drug by his pole. Oh Glory

Hey everyone! Hope your week was good! This week was crazy for me. We took our recent convert Rick to the hospital because he has an infection in his arm and it blew up like a balloon. His arm looked like the Pillsbury dough boy. Also, we found some really cool people who have been able to find out the Book of Mormon is true by themselves! Also yesterday an old friend that hasn't met with the missionaries in a little bit, met with us yesterday and said that she wants to get baptized! Her name is Sherry and her date is October 21st. Overall good week. This week I went on an exchange into a bike area. It is actually pretty fun being on bikes because it's good to get your blood pumping. I also learned how to ride with no hands during the exchange. But we were riding along the street and I stopped to talk to these people and I stepped off my bike pedal to stable myself. Out Of Place

Hey everyone! Hope your week was great. This week was a blur for me. Halloween came and went pretty fast and now it has already almost been a week. This week we had a halloween party for the YSA ward, we had MLC the day after, and went on an exchange with some Elders that are on bikes but the members gave them Ebikes, so overall pretty good week. Like I said, we had a Halloween party with the YSA ward. We weren't going to dress up, but the Sisters also serving in the ward said that everyone was dressing up and you need to dress up or else you will be lame. So we went to every halloween store near us during our dinner hour frantically searching for a costume to buy. We went to TJ Maxx and found some onesies. I got a Grinch one and my compainion got a minion. We bought them and went over to the church.
