Runnin Down A Dream

Hey everyone! Happy New Year! This past week has been crazy. We spend most of our time street contacting in the parking lots of Oceanside. We had a crazy miracle where we were walking out of the gym in the morning and saw this guy and invited him to church. He said that he wanted to come and we ended up teaching him about being baptized into Jesus Christ's church. We put him on date for baptism for the 27th. It was super cool putting him on date in just regular clothes haha.

This week we were at the Petco parking lot of all places inviting people to church. I met this really cool couple named Ronni and Pedro. They said that they wanted to come to church, so I got their info and walked back to talk to Elder Holt. As I was walking back I noticed that my phone glitched and deleted their number. A shock of despair rushed through me and I frantically looked around the parking lot for them and spotted them on the other side of the parking lot getting in their car. I then turned on the jets and ran like Ethan Hunt to catch them. The mission impossible theme song was playing as my tie was flapping in the wind. I caught up to them and in between panting i re-entered in their info. Sadly they did not come to church despite my efforts.

This weeks spiritual thought comes from the apostle Paul. This is a great scripture for the new year. It is 2 Corinthians 5:17, it says "17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." If we come unto Christ and let Him into our lives we can become the new creatures that He knows we can be. I know He lives and loves all of us perfectly! Have a great week!
