Black Lights And Claw Machines

Hey everyone! Another week has come and gone. We were able to find some cool people this week that are interested in learning more. I've been able to see the Lords hand so much more in the work as I have been looking for Him. 



This week we got permission to go to Dave and Busters with our recent convert who is 15. It was kinda weird being in an arcade like that as a missionary. We stuck out like a sore thumb because we were wearing white shirts and there were black lights all throughout the arcade. It was fun though, and we thought we would end the night off on the rubber duck claw machine. It's the best claw machine because you pay once and then you go until you win something. We were having a jolly old time trying to win a rubber duck and then a drunk lady decided to insert herself in between us and the claw machine. She said that she was "Really good at this" and I just looked at my companion and we didn't even know what to do. She was terrible at the claw machine and she was siting there for literally 47 million years and it wasn't until her drunk friend peeled her off the joy stick that she left. We finally got a few ducks and and it was a great night at Dave and Busters.



This weeks spiritual thought comes from the Book of Mormon in Moroni 7:41. I was studying President Nelson's talk "Think Celestial" again and He mentioned how we need to make Jesus Christ first in our lives right now because He is the only person that grants us life in the eternity and He linked this scripture to that statement "41 And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise." We must turn to Him right now so we can not only taste of His love right now but also so we can be with Him and our families for the eternities. I know He is Risen and that He lived to this day. Hey everyone! This week went by quick. Some cool things happened this week where 80 marines showed up to church yesterday and it was such a cool experience to be able to teach so many of them. We also put our friend Francisco, whose a marine, on date for baptism for December 9th. Our friend Isaiah is still solid and is getting baptized this Saturday. He shared with me that sometimes he doesn't want to come to church but he goes anyways, and he feels this peace that he has never felt before and he said that he knows that this church is true.  We usually do our calls and text on the San Clemente Pier, because it right by our apartment, and there are a lot of people fishing off the pier. So one night we were at the pier doing some phone calls and all of a sudden there's this teenaged kid running up and down the pier being drug by his pole. Oh Glory

Hey everyone! Hope your week was good! This week was crazy for me. We took our recent convert Rick to the hospital because he has an infection in his arm and it blew up like a balloon. His arm looked like the Pillsbury dough boy. Also, we found some really cool people who have been able to find out the Book of Mormon is true by themselves! Also yesterday an old friend that hasn't met with the missionaries in a little bit, met with us yesterday and said that she wants to get baptized! Her name is Sherry and her date is October 21st. Overall good week. This week I went on an exchange into a bike area. It is actually pretty fun being on bikes because it's good to get your blood pumping. I also learned how to ride with no hands during the exchange. But we were riding along the street and I stopped to talk to these people and I stepped off my bike pedal to stable myself. Out Of Place

Hey everyone! Hope your week was great. This week was a blur for me. Halloween came and went pretty fast and now it has already almost been a week. This week we had a halloween party for the YSA ward, we had MLC the day after, and went on an exchange with some Elders that are on bikes but the members gave them Ebikes, so overall pretty good week. Like I said, we had a Halloween party with the YSA ward. We weren't going to dress up, but the Sisters also serving in the ward said that everyone was dressing up and you need to dress up or else you will be lame. So we went to every halloween store near us during our dinner hour frantically searching for a costume to buy. We went to TJ Maxx and found some onesies. I got a Grinch one and my compainion got a minion. We bought them and went over to the church.
