PIVAT

Hey everyone, hope all of you had a great week! This week was jam packed with stuff. We had transfers and I said by to my friends and the members in Lake Forest. I was transfered to Vista and I am in a YSA ward again and we also go on base and teach the marine recruits in basic training. I am super excited to be in this ward because this is most likely where I'm going to end my mission. My new comps name is Elder Anderson and he goes home this transfer. Which is crazy because I go home the transfer after that, so we are going to work and play hard this transfer haha.

This past week me and Elder Anderson were given the tast of moving a couch out of an apartment that was being closed down. So we got there and started to move the couch out. We noticed that it was going to be a little tight but that didn't stop us from trying to stand it upright and try to shove it through the door frame. We tried to shove it upright and a bunch of random objects started falling on me from the couch. It was an assortment of nerf darts, lose change, and random crumbs that went down my shirt collar. The stuff just kept coming, it was like a sofa vending machine. After a few good shoves we realized that it wasn't going to work and all that came to my kind was that friends episode where Ross and Chandler have to cut the couch in have because they got it stuck haha. I started yelling "Pivat!" but unfortunately my comp hadn't seen it and didn't get the reference. After a few minutes of trying to get it unstuck we were able to reevaluate and get the couch out safe and sound. The door jam wasn't as safe and sound though haha.

This weeks spiritual thought comes from Jacob 3:2 in the Book of Mormon. It says "2 O all ye that are pure in heart, lift up your heads and receive the pleasing word of God, and feast upon his love; for ye may, if your minds are firm, forever." I love this scripture so much because all of us have a pure intent of wanting to be better. As we recieve the word of God and use it so we can become better, we will feel the joy that Jesus Christ offers when we rely on Him to progress. Through Him we can reach out divine destiny of becoming like Him, being able to love and feel joy in the same capacity as Him. I know without a doubt that He lives! Have a great week!
