Who Let the Dogs Out?!?!

Hey everyone! Hope your week went well. It was like Christmas this weekend for me with General conference going on. It was my last general conference on the mission and it's honestly pretty sad. But the messages that were shared were exactly what I needed to here and I am so grateful to live in a time where we have living prophets seers and revelators on the Earth.

Nothing too crazy happened this past week but we were knocking doors and met this really nice couple and talked to them for a little bit. In the middle of the conversation I heard a faint quaking in the background. I'm sure if I had a glass of water it would have rippled like in Jurassic Park. The quaking got louder and louder until I saw what I thought was a bear barreling around the corner and bounding at me. I was frozen with fear and I guess I just accepted that my time on earth was up. The beast pounced and put its paws on my shoulders and licked my face. It was a huge Akida dog named Maddie who is the biggest teddy bear and one of the cutest dogs I've ever seen. After taking a few pictures we left and I thought the excitement was over, but it was only the beginning. My face started to get itchy and my eye started to swell. Apparently I'm allergic to dog saliva and Maddie's lick packed a punch. We had to go back to our apartment for benadryl, which we didn't have, but after an hour or so of looking like a catchers mit, my face went back to normal.

This weeks spiritual thought comes from the recent focus of temples and covenants at this past general conference. In Isaiah 2:2-3 it says "2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem." Isaiah prophesied of these days where we will have tenples so we can learn the ways of the Lord. And walk in His paths. Making covenants in the House of the Lord is the greatest way we can access the Lords Atoning power. It is throught the power of the Savior in the temple that we are able to live again with God and our families. I know He lives and is providing more opportunities to worship in His house more frequently. Have a great week!
