Interrupting Cow...

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a good week! It was kind of crazy with exchanges and teaching this week, but I'm not complaining. We were able to get in contact with someone we previously taught and he said that he wants to get baptized, so he is on date for June 19th. Recruit Coplan, one of the recruits we were teaching, also got baptized yesterday. We should have two baptisms this upcoming week so please keep Young and AJ in your prayers.

In this area we do a lot of phone lessons, just because we cover such a big area and YSA's are busy. So we were teaching one of our friends over the phone and we had a member on the line as well. I asked a member for their insights on the topic we were discussing and before the member could say anything, our friend started telling us his insights. Let's just say that his comments were not in line with the church's doctrine haha. I thought to myself that I must have accidentally said the friends name instead of the members name, so I asked the same question again to the member and yet again our friend interrupted the member with an out of left field answer. I then had to pinch myself to see if I was dreaming and then stated the members full name so there was absolutely no confusion. To my amazement our friend started talking again! I then started to look around the room for hidden cameras because I had to have been getting punked. Our member then spoke up and bore an awesome testimony and taught some restored truth so it all worked out.

This weeks spiritual thought comes from 2 Nephi 2:10. Its says "10 And because of the intercession for all, all men come unto God; wherefore, they stand in the presence of him, to be judged of him according to the truth and holiness which is in him. Wherefore, the ends of the law which the Holy One hath given, unto the inflicting of the punishment which is affixed, which punishment that is affixed is in opposition to that of the happiness which is affixed, to answer the ends of the atonement" I am so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ because it ensures that everyone will be resurrected no matter what. Jesus Christ stood in the place of every soul and took the punishment that is affixed upon us so we don't have to suffer it. If we choose to repent and let him into our lives we can experience the happiness that is affixed as we keep the law because of the love that we have for Him that took our punishment which is affixed upon Himself. I know He lives!! Have a great week!
