Unblock Me

Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a good week! This week was really good. We found some cool people and put one of our recent converts cousins on date! His name is Kai! We also had a great week on base and should have some baptisms coming up in the next few weeks.


Yesterday at church we had to go on a mini exchange because one of our district leaders needed me to do a baptismal interview for one of their friends. Their friend is awesome and passed the interview. I walked back to elders quorum with the district leader and went to switch back. The Elders quorum met in the overflow room and had created a circle but had pushed all of the chairs to the back of the room so there was no way of getting through. Sadly the missionary I was exchanging with was on the opposite side of the room. He got up and went to the back of the room and saw all the chairs. We stared at each other, confused on how we were going to get through. I started sliding chairs and stacking them. There was one guy sitting behind all the chairs and he put on on his lap as I slid by. It was like a big game of unblock me. After 30 seconds of me sliding chairs and only being half way, the whole class stopped and looked back at me and watched in awe as I continued sliding chairs back and forth to figure out this big puzzle. As soon as I got to the end they all started clapping. Not sure if this should be one of my most embarrassing or proud moments.


This weeks spiritual thought comes from Mormon 9:18-19. It says "18 And who shall say that Jesus Christ did not do many mighty miracles? And there were many mighty miracles wrought by the hands of the apostles. 19 And if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable Being? And behold, I say unto you he changeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God, and is a God of miracles." God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is all power and all loving. That is the greatest combination to ever exist because that means that we have an all powerful God on our team that wants us to succeed. He doesn't put up roadblocks, He takes them away. He is a God of miracles and will work miracles in your life if we have faith in Him. Because of Him all things will work out. I know He lives!!! Hey everyone! This week went by quick. Some cool things happened this week where 80 marines showed up to church yesterday and it was such a cool experience to be able to teach so many of them. We also put our friend Francisco, whose a marine, on date for baptism for December 9th. Our friend Isaiah is still solid and is getting baptized this Saturday. He shared with me that sometimes he doesn't want to come to church but he goes anyways, and he feels this peace that he has never felt before and he said that he knows that this church is true.  We usually do our calls and text on the San Clemente Pier, because it right by our apartment, and there are a lot of people fishing off the pier. So one night we were at the pier doing some phone calls and all of a sudden there's this teenaged kid running up and down the pier being drug by his pole. Oh Glory

Hey everyone! Hope your week was good! This week was crazy for me. We took our recent convert Rick to the hospital because he has an infection in his arm and it blew up like a balloon. His arm looked like the Pillsbury dough boy. Also, we found some really cool people who have been able to find out the Book of Mormon is true by themselves! Also yesterday an old friend that hasn't met with the missionaries in a little bit, met with us yesterday and said that she wants to get baptized! Her name is Sherry and her date is October 21st. Overall good week. This week I went on an exchange into a bike area. It is actually pretty fun being on bikes because it's good to get your blood pumping. I also learned how to ride with no hands during the exchange. But we were riding along the street and I stopped to talk to these people and I stepped off my bike pedal to stable myself. Out Of Place

Hey everyone! Hope your week was great. This week was a blur for me. Halloween came and went pretty fast and now it has already almost been a week. This week we had a halloween party for the YSA ward, we had MLC the day after, and went on an exchange with some Elders that are on bikes but the members gave them Ebikes, so overall pretty good week. Like I said, we had a Halloween party with the YSA ward. We weren't going to dress up, but the Sisters also serving in the ward said that everyone was dressing up and you need to dress up or else you will be lame. So we went to every halloween store near us during our dinner hour frantically searching for a costume to buy. We went to TJ Maxx and found some onesies. I got a Grinch one and my compainion got a minion. We bought them and went over to the church.
