Finally In Cali!!!

WEEK 5 Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing well. I've been recovering for the past week and a half from my appendix fiasco. My recovery consisted of errands with my mom, personal study, drawing, and a whole lot of Disney movies. Luckily I recovered pretty quickly because I was running out of Disney movies to watch.  On Friday I got on a plane and got California. My trainer is awesome! He is so patient with me learning all of this new stuff and is so encouraging. My first few days were action packed. On my first day Vickie was put on date to be baptized. Vickie has been being taught by the missionaries off and on for over 20 years, and my first day is when she decided to be baptized haha. I have met a few Bible bashers, atheists, Buddhists, and have had a number of doors slammed in our face. I didn't expect to meet people like that on my first few days. But I'm in the Laguna Niguel area and it is so beautiful. My favorite time of day is golden hour because everything is jus...

From Uchtdorf To Hospital Bed

Week 3 This week was the best one yet! On Tuesday we had a devotional where elder Uchtdorf came and spoke to us! As soon as he walked into the room you could feel the spirit rush in. He inspired me with his words and made me remember why I am doing this. It's because of the love of Jesus Christ for me and my love for Him.  The rest of the week was pretty normal with classes, volleyball, and hacky sack. We made MEGABED which is three beds stacked on top of each other (see the bottom for picture). I finished all my classes and on Sunday after lunch my stomach started hurting really bad. At first I thought is was because of the food because how great the food is there. The pain didn't go away so muscled through the rest of the meetings and finally got to my dorm. I fell asleep in my suit. I then and changed and went to the bathroom and little did I know that that is where I would be sleeping the rest of the night. I puked every hour but it wasn't making me feel any better. I s...

Week 1 & 2

Image
Hey everyone! I'm going to give a brief summary of the first week and a full summary of the second week. Double decker haha. Week 1 Well home MTC was great. I loved how you got to kind of ease your way into missionary life. The content was great, but the zoom calls were long haha. I took advantage of every opportunity I had to get outside. I felt like a vampire stepping outside for the first time, and you would have thought I was one by the way I acted when I finally got in the sun. But overall home MTC was great.  Week 2  I finally got to the Provo MTC and there is a lot to get used to. The first couple of days felt like weeks but I'm finally getting acclimated and the days are flying. It is like a spiritual prison haha but it's been great. The spirit is so strong throughout the campus. The classes and devotionals are amazing and I am learning so much! I also was called to be a district leader so that's fun! That pretty much means that I lead our district discussions a...
