Merry Christmas!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! This week was such an amazing week to be a missionary. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to focus on and tell people about Jesus Christ. Our wards that we cover have been so nice to us and have given us so much, so I am so grateful for them. On Christmas day we had some Elders come over to open presents together and have a breakfast together and that was super fun.  Well I didn't have any miraculously funny stories this week but my protein shake exploded on me because I didn't tighten the lid, so that is the funiest thing that I could think of that happened haha.  I want to keep this spiritual thought simple.  In Doctrine and Covenants 76:22-24 it says "22 And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!" This is the testimony of Joseph Smith of Jesus Christ. I can personally testify with all of my heart that Jesus Christ Lives and He knows each o...

Not So Silent Night

Hey eveyone hope y'all had a great week! It was weird time warp week that felt slow while I was in it but looking back it went pretty fast.  This week we had our zone conference which was so awesome. We had a super spiritual meeting and then President Carter surprised us with a two hour Christmas party at lunch! We had games and crafts and desserts. It was so fun, and President Carter even whipped out "All I want for Christmas is you" by Mariah Carrey and all the missionaries went crazy haha. Overall good zone conference On Wednesday we had Elder Anderson, one of our zone leaders, come with us to stop by some people and knock some doors. So during our little adventure he finds out that I can do a pretty mean Gru impression. Towards the end of the night we knock on this door and this lady answers and Elder Anderson says "Hey we are just going around singing carols to people, would you like to hear one?" Me and Elder Larson just look at him and we were like "...

The Rabid Dog

Hello everyone! This week has been great. It was transfers and me and Elder Larson got to stay together in the area. So we have been chilling and it was a pretty normal week. We went on some exchanges as usual, and they were pretty fun. But every year my Grandma Cindy sends out a Christmas scavenger hunt for us to find stuff in people's yards. This year was snowmen, and that has given some flavor to knocking doors haha.  While I was on an exchange with Elder Call, we ran into a lady who was walking her dog. The dog was smaller and you could tell by the twitching that something was off with this dog. It looked up at us and it was foaming at the mouth. It immediately got up on its hind legs and started barking at us and Elder Call nervously said "wow your dog is so cute". The lady then said "yeah he hasn't been feeling good lately (as the dog is trying to bite its own ear) and I thought to myself "ya think!?!". The dog repeatedly tried to lunge at us like...

Poopy Box Movers

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great week! We had three exchanges so it was kind of hectic but it was fun.  This week was weird because it was December but it felt like September. It is kinda hard to get into the Christmas spirit when it is 70 degrees haha. The Elders in our zone went bowling with our mission president and his wife and I bowled a 156. I think that is one of the best scores I have ever gotten haha. I also went on an exchange with a Spanish Elder and I literally didn't do anything hahaha. I almost fell asleep during one lesson because I couldn't understand anything and was super bored. But it was pretty good week. On Saturday we agreed to help this lady move in the sister missionaries ward. We got there and apparently she isn't moving. She needed help putting Christmas decorations up. So that was the first curveball. The second one was when I opened up the shed. I opened it up and my eye brows singed because of the atroshish smell. There was mouse poop ever...
