Hey I hope you all had a great week! This week flew by again and I'm not even sure what happened haha. But I know that all of you were dying to know this, but the new Preach My Gospel (the book us missionaries use all day everday) came out on Thursday. All the missionaries in the mission are so hyped about it. Is that because we are content deprived? Probably, but let us have our fun. So ever since I have gotten into this area we have been trying to get this recent convert of about 6 months, back to church. His name is Rick. For some reason a legit excuse keeps him from coming to church ever week. This guy has the worst luck. Last Sunday he went to go knock down a cactus the Saturday before, and the cactus fell on him and the cactus juice got in his eyes, so we went over and got the spines out of his arm. But apparently the cactus juice is very acidic so it was burning his eyes. A member then took him to the hospital. And he couldn't come to church the next day because his eyes...

Hey everyone hope you had a great week! This week has been pretty good for me. I was able to go on some exchanges and go to the temple. Time is starting to go by quicker and quicker.  Everyday we usually go to a park during the slow times of the day when everyone is at work and make phone calls. We called this one lady named Loki and had an awesome lesson. We taught her all about the restoration and the Book of Mormon. She then committed to reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it. Me and my comp were celebrating and high fiving when the time came to hang up. She said "Alright see you soon!" And my comp being caught up in the moment said "OK Love you bye!" And he hung up, after about 5 seconds and after the the adrenaline went away he had realized what he had done. I just stared in awe of what he had just said and then I just burst out laughing. Hey everyone! Hope you had a great week! Mine was pretty good. We went on an exchange with some of the mandarin speaking Elders and had a blast. We got to play basketball with a bunch of old Chinese men who would just cherry pick and huck up half courters the entire time, it was so funny.  Every Wednesday there is a ukulele club at the church for all these old people and most of them aren't members of the church so we go and share a spiritual message at the end. But these old people are jamming and it is so fun. Every week so far this guy named Dwight has come up to me and asked me if I knew any ghost stories and I made the mistake of telling him all the ones I knew on the very first time I met him. We went to ukulele club and Dwight came up to me and told me that he had a few Ghost stories to tell me. He then proceeded to tell me all the stories that I told him as if he personally experience all of them. He would tell a story and he would say "And do you know what happened ne...

Hey everyone hope you had a good week! This week was pretty good. I went on an exchange with some Elders on bikes and we biked for 8 hours straight, let's just say that it will take some time for the lower have of my body to get back to its regular self. It's a good thing southern California is beautiful or else that would have been rough. But we have been able to find a good amount of people that are interested in learning more this week, which has been amazing.  This weeks story didn't happen to me directly but some missionaries in my zone thought it would be cool to pour a half a bottle of rubbing alcohol all over the table and light it on fire. The fire doesn't burn anything except for the alcohol. So he did it and his companion was amazed, but then the fire sprinkler went off and got all of their books and study stuff wet. Long story short the water kept coming and now they had to replace the carpet and the dry wall, and they had to move out for a week. So after al...
