Hey everyone! I had the opportunity to go to the temple today so it was a longer week, but it still flew by. I hit my 18 month mark which feels so weird! We met some cool people and it was overall a pretty good week. This past week we got a call from this lady that said that she needed help moving some stuff from her car to her storage unit. We met her there and she had a few things that we could have easily taken to her storage unit ourselves, but she insisted that we used a cart. So after an extra 20 minutes of trying to play tetras to fit everything on this cart, we finally made it to her storage unit. This whole time she has been telling us how proud she was of herself for getting all the food out of her unit the last time she was here so rats wouldn't come in and destroy everything. So when we got there she whipped out a huge bag with probably 25-30 keys. She went through every single one of those keys and none of them worked. She then tried the first key again and it worked. ...

Hey everyone! This week flew by! We met some cool people, and our friends on date are doing great. Their names are Roland and Carlos, and they will be baptized in the next couple weeks, so please pray for them! I also had the opportunity to go to a buffet this Saturday, which was Heavenly. I found that buffets are the only place on earth where it is socially acceptable to have grapes, sushi, pizza, and green jello on the same plate.  This week we played chair soccer with all the Elders in our zone. The game of chair soccer is not for the faint hearted. It can get intense at points. I usually go for the strategy of kicking the ball as hard as I can and hope it hits something. So I go and kick the ball as hard as I can and it goes straight into this Elders stomach. I felt so bad. A few minutes later I do the same thing and it hit him in the same spot. Hey everyone! Hope your week was good, mine was great. Another week has flown by. This week it was raining so much and so hard. We had a couple of flash flood warnings, and just a lot of wet clothes. We have been teaching this 80 year old, named Gerry. She is very long winded and very political. But she loves to come to church. This past Sunday we had a gospel doctrine class and we went to it with Gerry. The topic was on the law of Chastity. Gerry raised her hand to make a comment and the teacher made the mistake of calling on her. Gerry then talked for literally 20 minutes uninterrupted and ranted about the school systems. If there is something I've learned since being on my mission, it's that if you bring someone to church, people tend to associate the missionaries with that person. I was cringing the entire time. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. After that, the teacher tried to come back to the subject, and Gerry kept changing the subject back to the school systems...

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great week! This past week I got transfered out of Oceanside and not I'm in, drum roll please............RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA! Say that ten times fast. It was super sad leaving Elder Holt and our friends down there in O-side but I'm excited for the new adventure up here. My comps name is Elder Sanders and he super cool. This past week, before transfers, me and Elder Holt were planning at the church. We were some of the only ones there and the bishop came in and asked us to lock up. After he left he came back in and told us to check every room for Jimmy. We were like "Who?" And the bishop said that there is a weird guy in the stake that tries to hide in the church building and stay over night. He has done it a few times apparently, and he is starting to freak out the Seminary kids. So me and Elder Holt went and looked in every room for Jimmy. It brought me back to the days of trying to find my cat Sven, under the couches in all the rooms ...
