We’re The Missionaries

Image
Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a great week. This week was the last week of the transfer and the trio is coming to an end. I am going back to my old area and training a new missionary. I am sad that the craziness of being in a trio is over but I'm excited to train and catch my breath a little bit. This week we had to go stop by some people in this gated community called Coto de Caza. In order to get in you have to be on a list for someone who lives there and we don't know anyone in Coto de Caza. So we pull up to the gate and the gate gaurd was like "Hey what's your name and who are you visiting?" We confidently said "We are the missionaries." She then said "OK who are you visiting." And without skipping a beat we confidently said "We are the missionaries." With a confused look on her face she said "OK of course have a good one." And opened the gate for us. It was a crazy missionary mind trick. So I think if you say "We...

The Raid Of Ross

Hey everyone! Hope your week was good! This week was pretty busy, but it all payed off because two of our friends are on date to be baptized! I'm so excited and I'm so grateful to be apart of it.  Every week on P day we go to Ross and we look for Stance socks that are super cheap. But the past few weeks we have gotten skunked until this week. This week I went home with 8 new pairs of stance socks, and the best part about it is that they are "Infinknit" which means that whenever they get worn out I can take them in and get a brand new pair for free. This means that I will never have to pay for socks ever again, even though I most likely will. But in theory my children, my children's children, and their children will never have you pay for socks in their life because of my sacrifice. You're welcome kids. This weeks spiritual thought is about hope. In Moroni 7 verse 41 in the Book of Mormon it says this about hope "41 And what is it that ye shall hope for? B...

Amy's Baptism!

Image
Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a good superbowl sunday! I can't believe that it has already been a week. So much stuff has been going on. Our friend Amy got Baptized on Saturday and I was so lucky to be the one that baptized her! The spirtit was so strong and I could just feel the joy the Amy felt and the joy that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ felt. This week has been packed with service projects and lessons, and I have been loving it. By the end of the day we just collapse because of how tired we are haha.  This week we had a lesson with one of our friends and she has an insane dog. This dog will be bouncing off the walls for the entire lesson which is usually an hour long. So this time I tried to hold the dog. It was literally wrestle mania with me and Cowie (the dog). I'm not sure if anyone has tried to teach a lesson while having a dog in a full Nelson, but it's hard. I was trying to act like nothing was wrong and just went on with the lesson while I had Cowie i...

A Blurr

Image
Hey everyone hope everyone had a great week! Mine was pretty busy and to be honest it was all a blurr haha. So I will try to remember some take aways.  The trio is going great and I would say that we are the definition or work hard, play hard. We are going non stop but when we get a break we squeeze as much fun as we can out of that little amount of time. But this week we got to play broom Hockey with the youth and I "swept them". Bad joke haha. But this girl that we are teaching in the ysa gave me a really nice Mitchell guitar. We also played with this mini golfer set that my grandparents sent me, and we set up a course around the church. I got a remote control Batmobile and we have been having our own demolition derby with our rc cars. So nothing really too crazy happened this week, just a lot of little funny things that aren't really worth sharing haha.    This spiritual thought this week is about The Book of Mormon. One of my favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon ...
