Hey everyone! This week went by super quick, I can't belive that it's already Monday again. Well I hit my 8 month mark this past week and it felt pretty weird. I can't believe that I'm a third of the way through this crazy adventure that I'm on. I am so grateful for this opportunity I have had to come closer to Jesus Christ by being able to serve Him.  This week we were at an apartment complex knocking doors and talking to everyone outside. We started talking to this lady who was walking her dog and she told us "My dog is about to throw up so right now isn't a good time." So we kept talking to her and sure enough the dog hacks up a full plant that it had swallowed. It threw up a lot and then looked up with vomit dripping from its mouth and his eyes locked on my companions hand. As soon as it looked up from coughing up a lung it was on a mission to lick my companions hand. He books it over to him with vomit still dripping from its mouth and licks his ha...

Hey everyone! Hopefully, you had a great week. This week I got transferred to, drum roll please.........SAN MARCOS! It is so awesome down here. I am in one of the most southern areas of the mission. I was pretty bummed to leave the ysa ward that I was serving in but I am now in another ysa ward in San Marcos. We spend most of our time talking to people on college campuses like in my last area. My comps name is Elder Fossum and we get along so great! We have spent most of this week cracking jokes and working our guts out.  This week we went to visit one of our friends in an apartment complex. We knocked on his door and he wasn't answering. Another person walked by and we started talking to her. In the middle of our conversation, the dad of the guy we were visiting opened the door and he just looked at us and then started talking to the lady we were talking to. All of a sudden, as if there was a disturbance in the force, two or three more people randomly came out of their apartments ...

Happy Easter! Hopefully everyone had a good week. I know that I did. This week I found it that I'm getting transferred which is really sad because I love this area and I have been here for 6 months. So I will fins out where I'm going sometime today, so stay tuned next week to find our where I go.  This week we had a lesson with our friend who is on house arrest over the phone. The lesson was going pretty good but then he started ordering at the chicken-fil-a drive thru, which I'm not even sure if it's even legal for him to be driving haha. We were talking about Joseph Smith and then he says "Hold on a second guys" and you here in the background "Here is you food l, gave a nice day." And then our friend says in a thick new york accent "Oh thank you so (crunch noise)...Oh geez, oh crap, oh geez. Does anyone have any napkins!" It turns out that when he was grabbing his food,  our friend was a little too eager and crushed his drink when they ga...

Hey everyone I hope you had a great week! This week was general conference and it was like Christmas morning! It was so good to hear from the Prophet and the Lords servants. I am so grateful that we have a prophet of God on the earth and I know that He is a prophet of God. I think I had my most productive 15 minutes of my mission on Sunday after conference. We watched all of the sessions at the institute building with the ysa's and hung out pretty much the whole day both days there. They have a ping pong table there and that is all that me and this ysa named Peter did. Going into the last session of conference the series was tied 3-3 and Peter was going back to Idaho on Monday so we had to get one more game in. We had a friend come to conference and we were having a lesson with him right after, so I was put in a predicament. Peter couldn't stay later than 20 minutes after the session ended and I also needed to teach our friend. But then the stars aligned and our friend was hung...
